2023-2024 Reflections theme:

 

Students, get your creative juices flowing for this year’s Reflections competition! The theme this year is “I am Hopeful Because…”   

What is Reflections? A national art competition offered through the Tesla STEM PTSA. Students enter a piece of art that goes through a judging process at local levels with the chance to advance to the National level.  

What are the art categories? Visual Arts (2D only), Music Composition, Photography, Literature, Film Production and Dance Choreography. There is also a Special Artist Division for students with disabilities.  

Who can participate? Any student attending Tesla STEM High School.   

How to enter? Review the Student Entry Packet and Student Entry form here. It includes information on how to enter along with the Student Entry Form. Submit the art at the school front office, along with a completed Student Entry Form. You can also refer to the LW PTSA website for more information. Use a Manila envelope to keep your entry form, and any artifacts together. 

When is the deadline? TBD. Entries submitted by this deadline will be evaluated for advancing to the LWPTSA Council.

2023-24 Reflections Winners

“CONGRATULATIONS” to Reflections Competition Winners

LWSD Reflections Council has announced the results. 4 students from Tesla Stem have advanced to the STATE LEVEL. Here are the winners.

LWSD council has organized an open house to recognize the achievements of the winners and the non-winning participants whose art was selected for the council level. Here are the details of the open house.

Date: Friday Jan 19th, 2024

Time: 6pm - 8pm

Place: Lake Washington Resource Center

 

All the Reflections participants from Tesla Stem are welcome to attend the open house. Please bring your family and friends.

 

The Visual Arts and Literature entries will be displayed in the LWSD resource center from 19th January to 25th January, for public viewing. Stop by during the event week to check out the art from different schools.

“To All Visual Arts Participants”

Please drop off your Visual Art pieces at the Front Office by 16th January. The Reflections Chair will collect them to display in the LWSD resource center for the public viewing. The art pieces will be returned to you after 26th January. If you have any questions, please reach out to Reflections chair.

 


2022-23 Reflections Winners
 

 

 

 

 

 

Reflections 2022-23 has been a successful contest for our Tesla STEM student artists this year. We had six entries across various categories of which four advanced to the LWSD council level. Two entries have won the "Outstanding Interpretation" award at the council level and advanced to the State level competition. We thank all the artists for their submissions and congratulate them for making this year's Reflections successful.
