Subscription to the PTSA electronic weekly newsletter is free and content is accepted from the school, ASB, PTSA, and school district. Subscribers do not need to be PTSA members to receive the newsletter.

The PTSA Website is a great resource to the school community. Parents and students can learn about PTSA programs, join PTSA and sign up for PTSA programs and events and pay safely online.

The online directory is available to website registered users who are paid PTSA members.

PTSA currently has a Facebook page and a Facebook Carpool Group.

Thanks to your generosity and Tesla teachers' creativity and commitment to improving their students' education, PTSA is able to fund multiple projects a year with the largest awards being given in the Fall. Working together towards our common goal of improving our children's lives through better education, parents and teachers have made a significant contribution to giving our students' a high quality academic environment.

PTSA supports staff by providing refreshments once per month to celebrate birthdays and to show how much we appreciate the very important role of Tesla educators in our children's lives.

Assist the Tesla STEM PTSA to meet best practices by auditing the books and financial records of the PTSA semi-annually and presenting a written audit report to the Executive Board. The financial review is a guided process and takes approx. 2-3 hours. (January & July)

This committee handles the PTA membership drive at the beginning of the year. We are striving for 100% membership!

The Nominating Committee seeks out nominees for the elected board positions and presents a slate of candidates to the membership at the March (or May) PTSA membership meeting. Members of the nominating committee must be elected by the STEM PTSA membership. Must be a member of the PTSA. (February to May)

The Tesla STEM PTSA recognizes volunteers and educators who have given outstanding service to our children and school community. We do this through three awards: the Golden Acorn, the Honorary Life Membership and the Outstanding Educator Award. The Awards Committee selects recipients based on nominations submitted by PTSA members, Tesla staff and parents from our school community.

TESLA STEM PTSA invites all Seniors to celebrate all their hard work!

PTSA will be hosting a parent social in late September or early October, following guidelines from LWSD. Join us to connect with your Tesla STEM community! This event is free and open to all Tesla STEM parents/guardians.

This committee ensures supplies are organized and available to support the school administration’s emergency plan. Includes optional participation with LWSD PTSA Council Emergency Preparedness group.

The Lake Washington PTSA Special Needs Group is made up of parents in Lake Washington School District whose children receive special services (IEPs) and accommodations (504s). The group also includes interested staff and students. The group meets every school month except for December and June. We hear from speakers, have an extensive lending library, learn about resources in the community, network with other parents and keep updated on district and PTSA issues affecting children with disabilities.

Promote the Lake Washington Schools Foundation and share information with the Tesla STEM Community. Serve as a Table Captain and recruit attendees for the spring fundraiser. (Ongoing)

Options for SAT and ACT Test Prep

The PTA Reflections program challenges students to create art inspired by a specific theme, and to submit their art in six arts areas (dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and visual arts).

Time spent on fundraising is time NOT dedicated to volunteering for the benefit our students. For this reason, PTSA asks for tax-deductible cash donations. The suggested donation per family is $200 (before matching funds).

Tesla STEM PTSA recognizes not all families can contribute equally, but every family is encouraged to consider donating the suggested minimum or more to continue enhancing the educational environment for all our students.

Double Your Gift! Tesla STEM PTSA is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Ask your employer if they match donations and/or membership fees.
